So this message is primarily
An overwhelming spate of books came out from Full Gospel circles to help the body of Christ get a right perspective on
divine healing. The forces of darkness and death however, are not so easily taken back and we see the following
situation today:
The church is yet to come into the fullness of the stature of Jesus Christ and the non-occurrence of a few healings
which are usually singled out, is inevitable. There are also many other reasons why a person does not get healed.
There are also reasons why a person receives and loses healing.
The obstacles to healing are probably the greatest in any Christian endeavor as all sickness or disease attack
the immunity system of the body and is therefore incipient death. However let it be known that men with unflinching
faith have nevertheless been preaching the glorious gospel of redemption’s fullness till the end of their lives.
As death is the last enemy of man and all sickness is incipient death, those preaching healing are the targets of
satan’s wrath and fury. The demons of darkness undoubtedly find an extremely valuable foothold in the
schismatic opinions of unbelieving "believers".
More time is spent by eminent men in libraries and research centers trying to understand the intricacies of Hebrew
and Greek than trusting the Holy Scriptures and the ever-present Holy Spirit who is the author of the scriptures.
Remember that no prophecy of the scriptures is of any private INTERPRETATION (II Pet 1: 20) and all scripture
is given by INSPIRATION of God. (II Tim 3:16). Theology does not have much time for ‘kneeology’. Interpretations
generally come from men who spend about half an hour in prayer while men with genuine healing ministrations
spend hours a day and often days together in prayer and fasting.
The whore of Babylon (Rev. 17) has the capability to deceive nations. The non-occurrence of miracles and various
pressure factors have lulled some Full Gospel preachers into complacency and compromise on fundamental
teachings. The spirit of deception has also caused many a preacher to compromise or neglect or even reject the
foundation stones of the Christian faith as mentioned in Hebrews 6:1, 2 to participate in frenzied activities,
however good they are, in the looming dusk of this millennium.
The manipulation of statistics is known to many. For example every gospel preacher with some experience
knows that the percentage of Christians in India is many times more than the oft-lamented figure of 3% or so.
There is no evidence from a Betty Baxter, Gordan Lindsay or a Nita Edwards. The healing of Oral Roberts as a
dying youngster or the raising of Kenneth Hagin as a youth from certain death seemed to have been erased
from the minds of certain prolific writers who fiercely oppose the glorious message of God's compassion for
the sick and diseased. The seemingly impressive documented facts and evidence of healing critics are very
questionable. Documentation and evidence of permanent healings under ministers like John Lake, Smith
Wigglesworth, David Duplessis, Mel Tari and the Unknown Preacher are conspicuous by their absence.
The Unknown Preacher is mentioned because today there is an army of God worldwide reaching out with
healing and deliverance who can produce living witnesses with documentation of mighty healings. This only
fulfills the prophecies of Jesus who said:
1) Believers shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Mark 16: 15-18.
2) Believers shall do my works and greater works. Jn. 14:12
AIDS was once a far away disease in permissive society ties. Today it is a topic for conversation anywhere. The
attack on the teaching of divine healing has started once again from reprobate, materialistic and prayerless
groups and is spreading in a subtle manner mostly in the form of books with an irresistible appearance.
In closing, be careful of the books you read. "Of making books there is no end." (Eccl.l2:12)
As the little children sing, 'The best book to read is the Bible!'
