I was singing and meditating on one of the old songs of the church. I thought about the writer of the song and what a great saint he must have been.

The Holy Spirit immediately said, “You are a saint”. He went on to explain that for this day and hour, we are the saints of God.

All things are written for our example, but too often we tend to put off the mighty working of the Holy Spirit in us to a bygone era or to one that is to come.

One said, “Even the great apostle Paul, had a thorn in the flesh”.

The Spirit flashed back, “A greater than Paul is here!”

Fixing our eyes on Jesus the Author and the Finisher of our faith, we lay aside every weight and the sin which easily besets us and so we run the race.
